Setup subdomain

To use the custom domain you need a premium / teams account. Once you have these you can activate the custom domain with the following steps:

1. Under custom domain, enter the desired subdomain under settings, eg: proposal.companyname.nl
2. Set Active to On with the dropdown
3. Create a CNAME record in your DNS for "proposal.companyname.nl" that will refer you to "domain.offorte.com". If you don't know how to do this, your domain name administrator / hosting provider can help
4. Within a few hours, your proposals can now be viewed on the subdomain.
5. The SSL certificates are updated every night and when everything is set correctly, the certificates will be updated and https (ssl) will become active.

The management itself remains available within the Offorte domain. But when you send a proposal (or create a link), it now points to your custom subdomain.

To secure your custom domain with Offorte, we need to create an SSL certificate through Let's Encrypt. If you're seeing an error, your domain's CAA records might be blocking certificate creation. Simply add a CAA record with the value 0 issue "letsencrypt.org" in your domain's DNS settings.
