What's new in Offorte

A small but powerful update: new mobile optimization setting for images.
Image and image text blocks now have a mobile optimization setting, so that images are always displayed properly. With the option called 'Full Display' on, the entire image is always completely shown, ideal for logos or images with text. If the setting is off, images remain optimized for other types of visuals (the old way you are used to). This setting only applies to newly added blocks and has no effect on existing proposals. Of course you can adjust existing image blocks via the block settings.

Bugfixes & Improvements:
Various bugs, in the proposal editor, proposal display, API and Zapier, solved to make everything work smoothly.

A minor update has been made that updated the Google Fonts and fixed a Zapier Connection bug. Small optimizations have also been implemented

A new functionality has been made available that allows you to use Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for logging in. In addition, performance has been improved when creating a proposal, it is now clearer where a design is used when you want to delete it and you can export the Insights to Excel.

2FA Explanation
You can activate 2FA at account level and at user level via the Account settings. There are two options: Promote and Required. When Promote is active, the user is not required to use 2FA. With Required, he/she must use 2FA.

Once 2FA is enabled and a user logs in, they will be asked to perform the 2FA registration.

If a user accidentally can no longer create their codes (e.g. by deleting the Google Authenticator app), an admin can reset the 2FA for that user in the user management.

In addition to minor improvements, the create proposal screen has been improved in terms of contacts entry. You can now also enter the optional fields directly and the system will remember your preference in terms of contact type.

Tip: Configure the required fields via Settings > Contacts (for Premium subscriptions)

As you may have read in the newsletter, we have started developing improved contact management. During the work we implemented a performance improvement that we were also able to implement immediately in the current management. We did that and this update has just been implemented. Offorte users with a lot of contacts will especially notice this improvement.

Recently we have implemented various small improvements and optimisations. A new feature has also become available today: a Recycle Bin for your proposals and contacts.

That is how it works
When you delete a proposal and/or contact, they will be moved to the recycle bin. Only after 14 days is the bin permanently emptied. If you have accidentally deleted something, you can undo it via Settings > Trash. The trash function currently only works for proposals and contacts, but not yet for other things such as favourites, templates, etc. These are on the roadmap to be added.

Behind the scenes, we are working hard on a completely new proposal editor. Expected release date is Q1 2023

This update includes minor updates & optimizations. As mentioned earlier, almost all the time currently goes to the development of the new editor. Nevertheless, a new functionality has also been added to Offorte today.

It is now possible to give a user the profile: restricted_user. When a user has that rights profile, he/she can only see and change their own proposals.

A completely new proposal editor & viewer has been working hard for months. It will take a while before you can start using it, but today you can already see a first sneak preview. Check some new features on the following blog: Sneakpreview February 2022.

Work in progress on the new proposal editor
Behind the scenes, we are working hard on a completely new proposal editor. Great steps are being taken and a number of much-requested features such as a comprehensive undo history are currently being implemented. Most of our focus will be in the development of the editor in the coming period.

A new update has been released which, in addition to various technical optimizations behind the scenes, also makes some new functionalities available.

Below is an overview of the most important improvements:

• Account settings: There is now the option to set an image of your signature for the agreement page
• Email: the links in the notification emails now refer to the proposal details
• Personalization: a page number tag has been added
• Automations: when copying an automation from your favorites to a proposal, the date is set to the future
• API: if you try to create a business and it already exists, you will now get the ID of that existing company
• Webhooks: the option to set the content type of the message has been added
• Various small optimizations
